  1. so i just did a big reply in the megashift forums, i do not get email reminders froum that forum i would imagine there would be a setting for that? since thats what there product is based on ! lol anyways. yes center diffrential settings no biggie can also create a simple circuit using prototype board to have it map based only. or what ever is nessasary. for work we have a general pourpose i/o card also ! we just made it and it works with the "rabbit card" processor basically a plc control and one of these could simply be a megasquirt and gripo in one shot. it has like 25 inputs and 25 out puts. i jsut need to learn c programming witch is nessasary for me for work anyways.

  3. like this one time with my 3.1 turbo sunbird ! but i still drove it for 3 blocks! with the conecting rod bashing around in the cylinder .. notice the oil rings wraped around the crank shaft !

  5. my moms and my neighbours regal gs run 14.4 amd 14.07 respectivly with only exaust mods. but yes time slips will be shown as soon as possible. for right now i'm just tweaking and nudging so that it drives like a stock car.. i'm doing about 500 miles a week on the car. its amazing having that torque right at idle
  6. For you guys arguing aboot the rear diffs there are a few things you gotta understand The rear diff is realy two things a hypoid gear set and spyider gear differential. Seams like most differential issues are with the spider gear set what distroys the spider gear sets is 1 wheel spining. And this will distroy any diff. Im sure the 180 is stronger than the 160 but if a 160 set up with a mini spool or shimed up lsd clutches would handle big hp.
  7. its a daily driver i jsut came back from 3 weeks in europe. 3 days in portugal 3 days in spain went snow boarding then the remander in germany. reading through the 5 eat stuff i have purchased the vag com cable so i can play a bit with the tcu ( i have not switched over to mega shift yet) raced a supercharged regal yesturday ( my neighbour ) he is running 12 lbs boost and i'm runing 5 lbs and it was about even. so the plan is to work out some more kinks .. some vibrations and starting issues ( stock computer kiling the fuel pump because cam sensor not there )
  8. up date so its daily driver now.. getting aboot 450 km per tank of city driving 91 octane, witch is actualy better than the 2.5 witch got aboot 350 of city driving. i think highway economy will suffer tho due to the engine pumping losses. i'm still running 5 lbs boost, the tranny is shifting nice with the stock control it seams like it adapted. it will still get the megashift tranny controler. but right now i'm enjoying driving the off idle torq monster. its excelent from a dead stop from idle. i havent tryed boost launching it and i don't think i will untill i install the rwd 4wd main shaft.
  9. And all new exaust And motor mounts And charge piping And air cooling fan would fit where? ( if it's air cooled ) Ill have to measure but I think the porche engines are wider I'll measure the 3.6 1989 porche engine I have on the shelf
  10. Yes of coarse but depends on cost and availability of parts for each engine.
  11. well its not realy swaping for the sake of "swaping some thing diffrent". its to get more power and / or cheaper more reliable
  12. i have a 89 3.6 porche engine on a palat and will probably replace it with a buick 3.8 aswell. i would consider a porche engine swap into a subie as a downgrade! people are puting subie engines into porches.

  14. I have cad drawings for pretty much every peice on this car. I could easily make lasercut lists for the parts, the only difficult thing is the headders but with a jig they could be reproduced. this kit would allow the use of any 3.8 or 3800 front wheel drive block with the exception of the headders because they have diffrent style flanges. a sereis 2 95 and newer 3800 has 205 hp n/a and like 280 ft-lbs replacement entire engine is like 300$ series 2 supercharged have 240hp and like 340 ft lbs tq series 2 supercharged engine changed to turbo will have 300hp at the same boost level as the supercharged.
  15. it was my dream also! grand national power and lgt handling braking and comfort. its soo nice to drive around the city .. acceleration from a light is soo effortless 1/4 throttle and its already coming into the boost ! feels like i unhooked a huge camper off the back of the car !

  17. did some more tidying up today, installed air cleaner and valve cover vent. i just made a vid of the sound of the car reving, its sounds pretty sweet! its up loading should be up in 45 min or so.
