  1. So am I After I ordered my 2018 STI when they first were announced, I told myself I'd never do it again, that was a 4 month wait though. This should only be 3 .. Whoops.
  2. For one, working with someone I trust and the price has been all negotiated, also because it's SNE, half the cars on the lots have every option under the sun pre-installed, my ordered one has very few.
  3. Still waiting on mine the "port date" (day the train/semi drops it off in RI) is the 15th, will take another few days to get to the dealer from there. Will be interesting to see if it's a 2020 build or a 12/19 build date when it finally gets here.
  4. Those should easily fit. If they are the 5 spokes they are extremely heavy though.
  5. Nice, congrats, mine is still slated for "january" at last check. Was holding hope it'd get done sooner, but oh well! I had put my order in on halloween, so a few weeks after yours.
  6. Nice, I'll have to check on mine tomorrow too as I also have that 'January' ETA
  7. A form of this HTCVT has been in use since 2015 in the 3.6R models, and maybe even before that in the A-Spec STIs overseas. And the 2.4 is just a bored and stroked 2.0 that's also been in use since 2014 on the FXT. There's not a ton of "new" tech with the core components of this car that should scare you away. When my 2020 arrives with its CVT it'll be my 5th Subaru CVT (not including my wife's current outback that also has one). Don't let the outliers on the internet scare you. Personally haven't had an issue with a single one of them.
  8. The size of carplay is a common complaint, however I don't think it's one that Subaru has any control over, I think both Carplay and Android auto are both fixed to specific aspect ratios to get them to work. See this reference as to why carplay can't fill the screen https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/carplay/visual-design/layout/
  9. I don't need it on my 2018, so I can't imagine you'd need it on the new HUs
  10. I wonder how the 19in STI wheels would look on there.
  11. I had my b pillar replaced in my 04 wrx wagon with no ill effects, but it wasn't nearly as violent an accident. My wife's old Outback got rear ended about 5 years ago, and the only thing that's been wrong with it has been electrical, but I've read stories about non-accident ones having similar issues, so who knows.
  12. Should be a little bit quicker. Subaru's CVTs haven't bothered me (I've had 5 now) While not as good as rowing your own, it's better then some of the others CVTs out there and tend to drive closer to a 6/7AT then a true CVT. Flappy paddles are fairly responsive once you get used to them, but they don't let you break anything (much).
  13. https://www.facebook.com/cobbtuning/videos/691703324687528/ I'll just leave this right here, good things a coming
  14. Some say I have a problem (they are probably right) I have a 2020 XT Touring on order, black, few accessories, but nothing crazy. Put in the order on build order went in 11/1 now the waiting! Dealer giving me 8-12 weeks, but hoping for sooner. UPDATE Car finally showed up on 1/30 http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0014.jpg http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0016.jpg http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0017.jpg http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0018.jpg http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0019.jpg http://www.jmaigroup.com/_images/subaru13/IMG_0021.jpg
  15. My '18 has actual pressures for each wheel, no more playing marco polo to find which one is low. Although my old A5 that I had was sensorless, and didn't turn off, it just came on when it detected an imbalance and you had to test them all and "reset" the system. Many, many false alarms. At least when the tpms goes off on the Subaru's it's typically valid.
  16. Nice Dan, I have one on order (black touring) interested to see what you guys come up with down there, time for another road trip to VA.
  17. My 2018 (10k miles) is doing this as well, will be bringing it in here shortly and will report back.
  18. Legacy is getting traded in, so ya, the stock bar is staying on the car
  19. If anyone is in my area and want to upgrade I bought one of the 20mm rear bar and never got around to installing it. Would let it go pretty cheap, but I'm not going go ship it, too awkward.
  20. Yup, ordered from my local dealer, had it in two days, picked up, no shipping (and cheaper since no shipping). Need to lock myself in the garage one day this weekend to do the rear bar on mine and brakes on the Outback.
  21. Oh I know I don't have any issues going from the CC side, I'll give them a day or two then if I have to go that route I will. csc782, I never visit a parts counter without part numbers, that way it's on me.
  22. Humm, I guess the only issue I have now is to get SOP to refund the money they've already charged to my CC
  23. Interesting, I've bought most my cars through Patrick, I wonder if SNE has their own warehouse of parts. How long ago was that?
