3 car garage...

 

 

Finally got a chance to give the NB a good wash and take some pics not in the driveway...

It's kind of fun to start with a stock car again!

 

I put a bunch of Miata stuff on CL today, and have been dealing with scam texts all afternoon... irritating!

Yep I'm quite happy to have space in the garage for the Miata now. I still wish we could have found a 3 wide we liked, but this is still nice!

 

Honestly part of me would like to go back to stock sport suspension. It'd still be fun on the track, but so much nicer on the street.

Hung some racks in the garage and now have room for the Miata in the garage

 

I figure if I go with the LBBK and some gloc autox pads I should be okay for the 200TW tires I like

Holy crap! I bought my Miata because of cheap parts. I really don't want to make changes which causes parts prices to skyrocket.

I love the ap j hooks, but the reality is a LBBK over factory sport rotors is all I'd likely need.

Yes but at the moment the Exploder is about the only thing that wouldn't get stuck in the mud of the side yard. The yard behind the fence is unfinished, downside of a brand new house. On the other hand the interior list is much shorter.

 

You should build a 99 spec Miata!

Not only do I have a 3 car garage now but I also have room for 3 more cars on the side yard

 

Of course the new house payment means I can't really afford a bunch of yard cars lol

Looks great! I'm working on getting the 3rd car spot cleaned out so I can put my Miata in the garage!

Dump the eyeball vents for eclipse vents... One of the best things for the interior!

Mostly stock at the moment - but planning to add hyper silver 18x8 Rota Gravels in the coming weeks and will update!

I actually brought mine home last night

I had left it at my parents house when we moved into our new house, so I started it up and gave it a much needed bath. Then I took it for a short cruise and got gas. While I was filling it up an older gentleman in a S2000 comes over, complements me on my car and tells me he misses his old 2000.

 

Also got the goodies for the NA...

 

 

949 11.75" front kit with Dynapro radial mount calipers and directional vane rotors. Also popped for the Wilwood master cylinder. I still need to pick up an NB Sport booster, and decide on which pads to get.

 

Caliper is just a bit bigger than the stock 1.6 brakes...

 

Combined with the Powerlite 4 pistons on Sport rotors on the rear, I should be future proof as far as brakes go... er... stop. Whatever...

As soon as you said it was for the NA I knew what it was, but I am interested in what kit you went with.

Front brakes?

Ouch good new is stock style radiators are pretty cheap for the Miata. It's much better to lose the radiator than a freeze plug in the block.

Yikes! Got lucky if the only issue was the one pipe pushed off slightly!

 

I run about 70% water here since our lowest lows are usually I'm the upper 20s.

The other issue with newer engine swaps is lots of times they are so dependent on the CAN Bus they simply won’t work right without it. One of the reasons the LS swaps works so well is because, even for the modern versions, GM sells it as a complete standalone engine and control package.

If I could do a swap it'd probably be either the LFX or the K24 swap. Both of them are well thought out kits, and I like the character they give the miata.
