  1. Damnit something in the clutch hydraulic system just let go I can pump it up and get it to disengage but it beads pressure and eventually engages again.
  2. Yup I briefly looked at Mudstains... Err I mean Mustangs:D
  3. Yeah, fortunately the Explorer Magnaflow system isn't horribly expensive. https://www.amazon.com/Magnaflow-16606-Stainless-Cat-Back-Exhaust/dp/B000VL01B6/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Ford%7C54&Model=Explorer%7C663&Year=2007%7C2007&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&s=automotive&vehicleId=2&vehicleType=automotive
  4. If you still want to buy a Magnaflow I'll let you buy me one for my Explorer
  5. Haha yeah this is why when I tell people I do track days and they say something about racing I correct them and tell them I can't afford to race.
  6. I like the idea of a charger/challenger but I'm not too interested in owning what amounts to a 20 year old Mercedes
  7. I'm equal parts "NOOOOOO!!! :icon_cry:" and "Awesome! :dm:"
  8. I think you're giving us more credit than we deserve:lol: We just do track days and Rodan does far more than I do. I basically do 1 maybe 2 a year.
  9. That explains why I couldn't find it on the website
  10. Did you see Good-Win's email? The new Konig Ampliform looks really good
  11. I'm overstating my dislike for it, but given I can get MTL and MT90 retail for $16 a quart and I paid $25 a quart for the Motorcraft stuff and I feel the MTL performance is significantly better it's a no brainer for me.
  12. Everyone loves the Ford Motocraft fluid.... I hate it, it sucks. I had it in the 5spd for about 5k before all the work, I replaced it with Redline MTL. The MTL is infinitely better.
  13. I've been using mine as a DD since Saturday. Everything is going well other than I think I have the front and rears mismatched as I'm getting an odd torque steer effect when I get on and off the throttle.
  14. Yeah the stock NB 15s look pretty good. Like you I just wish they were wider. I'm thinking about picking up another set of wheels for the 'winter' set. I'm thinking about a set of Rota Grids. I went magnetic for my number plate.
  15. Now that I have it running I put the 'winter' wheels and tires on since I'm planning on daily driving it for awhile to break in the clutch. I also put up a reminder to start it in neutral as Flyin Miata recommends.
  16. Got it all done today! Installed the new radiator, had to bend some of mounting tabs for the AC condenser and also the mounting tabs for the top radiator tabs. Blead the clutch hydraulics and adjusted the rods like Flyin Miata recommended. Finally took it for a quick spin around the block. Everything seems to be good for now. I have to take on a bit of a longer drive to test things out and then get on with breaking in the clutch!
  17. Real gauges are on my list of things to do. Especially once I get the CSF Radiator in the car.
  18. Ugh not looking forward to climbing under the dash for that
  19. Yeah when you are going back together it's a little frustrating to feel so close, but so far away. Question for you, did you have to do all the clutch adjustments Flyin Miata recommended?
  20. Wasn't able to finish up today, but I'm so close! I pressed in the new rear main seal using the FM seal press. Then got the flywheel and clutch kit mounted, forgot something Had to pull it all back off, and put the plate in. Then got the transmission mated to the engine and the front pipe connected to the factory header. Also got the new clutch slave cylinder with the extended stainless line attached. Got the engine and transmission back into the car. Set the PPF height and got everything torqued down. After I got it in I got mounted the AC Compressor, so I could finish getting the belts set. The wiring harness is all hooked back up except for the air intake. All that's left is mostly the cooling system and then filling up the engine, transmission, power steering fluid, clutch hydraulics and new rubber shifter boots. I should be done on Friday around noon if I drag my ass out of bed at a decent hour.
  21. I wasn't only volunteering for the 25 Hour race, but for any races or HPDE's at either track. I certainly understand the 25 hr being out of reach.
  22. Getting closer to being done with this project. Got the engine mostly sealed up. Just need to do the rear main seal, but won't do that until I hang the engine from the hoist again tomorrow. After that it's clutch/flywheel kit, mate the engine to the transmission, new clutch slave cylinder with line, and then reassembling the engine bay.
