  1. Yeah I'm actually contemplating canceling... By the time I pay for 3 nights in hotels in Monterey I can probably get 3 other track days at another local track.
  2. It was 250 this year. Years past it wasn't even $200
  3. Yeah when I almost didn't get in I almost just wrote off the event. The event was a LOT more expensive this year than in years past. Losing the Mazda sponsorship really seems to have messed with their prices.
  4. Successfully registered for Miatas at Laguna Seca ... that was a bit of a debacle
  5. Interesting considering the 08 service manual specified the so-called new higher bypass pressure 3+ years before it existed...
  6. I need to do that on mine and also order up some speedhut gauges for the track dog single din gauge holder.
  7. When you have a super rare JDM GTO Titanium shift knob lying around that happens to have the same thread size and pitch as your Miata you get a little crazy... IMG_20180422_193328 by christobal65, on Flickr
  8. Ran it in autox today started out with a 67.5. My fastest time was on the last run 62.5. I ran in SM because I didn't want to go in the afternoon with the huge groups. I was 4-5 seconds slower than the fastest SM cars. IMG_20180421_091526 by christobal65, on Flickr
  9. Yeah I for new money I'd get a fully FIA certified seat but I got mine 'used' almost 2 years ago now. The guy I bought it from never installed it so it's brand new and has just been sitting in my garage.
  10. I installed my Marrad LX1 seat today with the stock 3 point seat belt. I think I'm going to go back and move the shoulder belt back to the outside of the slot as it rubs my neck. IMG_20180414_170007 by christobal65, on Flickr IMG_20180414_165954 by christobal65, on Flickr
  11. Washed it, and got gas in it! IMG_20180413_174942 by christobal65, on Flickr IMG_20180413_181024 by christobal65, on Flickr
  12. If the tech does their job and looks under the car you will fail visual, but you should pass the OBDII plugin check.
  13. Your trailer is awesome! Way beyond my needs unless I'm going exocet My wife and I had a pretty rough week so I haven't been doing much anything. I drove it to work Monday and Tuesday then used it to run some errands for us on Wednesday.
  14. I love living here and I even have respect for the emissions requirements here and believe they are needed. I'm not a fan of how they are implemented. This is a bit of a game changer for me. Boost for the Miata has gone from "that'd be cool if I could do it" to "I think I'm going to have to try to make this happen!"

  16. Finally test drove the car after replacing the master cylinder on Saturday... The drive to work is a great time to test out a fairly important part repair isn't it? Seem to be working just fine. Clutch engagement point is a little different, but that figures as who knows if the old one was leaking for a long time or not.
  17. Kind of want your 4.10, and good call on painting the rear 'diffuser'
  18. Yep replaced the master cylinder this morning and bled out the system again. Started the car, pushed in the clutch, put it in gear, and sat there for 3+ minutes like that. It held pressure and never tried to inch forward as it did before. Then changed the oil, mounted the under tray and buttoned it up. Didn't get a chance to test drive it as my dad and I hung the TV on the wall and put the rear surround speakers in the ceiling.
  19. I actually figured it was since that's how they did their ND in the same color.
  20. They keep posting new pictures of that orange GT350 with the new 6ULs and its gorgeous
  21. Sounds about right, their 17" wheels are a good deal more expensive than the 15" ones. I looked at them for my Legacy when they first came out with the BRZ fitment.
  22. Rodan, you need these... https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg70WlkBCDW/
  23. Before I came in and posted I bled the system just to make sure it wasn't an air bubble. Based on the symptoms, and no external leaks I think it's the clutch master cylinder. I ordered a new one from Amazon for $28 and it should be here on Friday. Hope to have it installed and fixed on Friday evening or Saturday morning. Master is a bit of a pain to get out of the firewall.
