That’s a fine looking wagon. Did the facelift front end bolt right up?
-
Heard a whole-lotta nothing after sending them those pictures. At some point I'll have to start looking into a rebuild on my own.
There’s been a lot of that going around lately. People can really suck sometimes. Sorry.

I am really curious to see how this turns out as the stock brakes on the OBXT are trash and the LGT brakes aren’t much better.
-
Nice work with this.
-
My goodness that is one fine looking automobile!

Love your thread. I’m in a similar situation. I just picked up an 06 OBXT with a blown turbo and 170k miles with a 5spd so I’m going to be watching your thread closely.
-
Replace the harness. You do not want to mess around with airbags.
-
Did you ever get a title for this?
-
I've got a great turbo but, need the engines.
Tell me more about this “great turbo”.

So I’m about to undertake this same journey and I started a very incomplete spreadsheet and it’s not going anywhere good.... what are the odds I could take a peek at your spreadsheet before I go hog wild on the “might as well while I’m here” Parts?

This is my new favorite thread. You’re living the dream for quite a few ppl including myself.

I'm looking for a lowish mileage engine with a turbo if you have something of that nature. I have a 2006 manual trans OBXT with a very exploded turbo.

What are these "liters" of which you speak. I bet those are some new fangled made up words for gallons.
-
Grab them with some pliers and twist them a bit. then jam a flathead underneath and twist. odds are they are old and hard and going to split anyway.
-
That's actually not bad

Forgive me if I missed this somewhere but what was the cost of the total system and the cost for an oil change with filter?
-
Nice well written and organized post. Thanks!
-
Any updates on this? it's been a few years what are your impressions?
-
I'm suddenly having a desperate urge to do this with an LSX motor...

You know, I use 5w30 and 10w30 interchangeable on the older suby, and 5w30 with subaru filters on the shiny new one. All Mobile one. I must say, I haven't been greatly impressed with the stuff. I change the oil every 3k in my car and 4k in my wifes car. It always looks seriously beat coming out of both cars. Mine get's driven slightly harder than hers, but hers is driven like an old woman. 7k on mine and hers has 60k on it. I used Castrol GTX in my built 3000gt's and it seemed to hold up a bit better. That is completely subjective of course.

I'm thinking use a stand alone like an aem or something and save yourself an IMMENSE amount of hassle.

u use a document scanner when ever i can, then simply drop that off in autocad trace out what i need scale it and send to laser cut shop.
if you guys need anything laser cut just scan it with a ruler in the image and i'll make a few .. we have things laser cut every day so i sneek a few things in here and there.
Well that's just brilliant!

I just wanted to chime in and say I have had mine installed for the better part of 2 years and it still works like a champ so thanks to Jazzy for the high quality product!!

FINALLY hooked it up today, and it sounds awesome. The ground loop isolator is clutch by the way. Thanks for a great product and a great Idea.
