The way i understand it, remote start can't happen without the key with transponder (or just the transponder itself) so one would need to be sacrificed. By that logic, once a key is sacrificed for the remote start function, you should not need a key with a transponder to start the car because the transponder is already in the car. That about right? Why would you need to sacrifice a key to get the transponder? The transponder should either be built into the key you want converted or on a small black housing by the bottom of the original key. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

wife's highschool friend was at home for my wife's birthday during that hard snowstorm we got on the 5th and she decides she wants to go to Outback for lunch. There's 6-7 inches of snow outside, no one plowed yet here. I turn the PS4 off and go clean snow off the car and told them let's go. get on the road, snow is packed down to ice, tire marks going off the highway on to the railing, Walmart Semi Jacknifed under a bridge on rte 18 sb. rte 9 north is straight ice and car pulls right on the go pedal then tracks straight (Conti's DWS are lovely) and wife's friend says "This thing drives like a truck!" i know what she meant but i said "gee thanks asshole" she replied, "no i mean its really good on the snow!" We get to Outback and there's 2 trucks, an impreza and an accord (employee). drift into a parking spot smiling after everyone got off. she then said "you enjoy that car too much." I smiled and ordered my Outback Special.

Went to dealer about 2 weeks ago. Service counter guy asked me about my car. got the usual "its nice!" Gave me a crosstek while my car gets worked on. 5 hours Later my car is done and I got called to pick it up. When i got there he tells me he could only find 1 in the country for sale (white GT) on craigslist. I told him to jump on it, They're rarer than the spec B. he looked puzzled but I'm sure he googled it.

Similar ocurred to me. Couple walk to my car while I'm parked next to a black 5th gen 2.5i returning a text at the mall parking lot. Guy attempts to open my locked door. Windows are down, so I Said "Can I help you?" Guy jumps back looks at the car, apologizes, walks to his car meanwhile, female sticks head in passenger side looking at the interior, smiles and tells guy, "That one is nicer, has leather and a screen." Guy leaves when she gets on and waves his apology as he drives away. made my day!

I saw an LGT at Range 14 in Ft. Dix today. identical to mine. wonder who it belongs to. oh, and this happened on the way there.

I got to thinking, it would be pretty cool it all 227 of the Legacy GT got together for a drive wouldn't that be some sort of a record? Every production car in that lineup... granted, I do realize it would leave the 2010 and 2011 GTs out, but it was a good thought. Ok time to get off the toilet and do something constructive or sleep.
