  1. are you happy with 20mm sway now? I’m very happy with it. It does nothing for the feel about center, but stability on the highway is improved and cornering is slightly better-feeling. I don’t drive super aggressively, though. If you do, you’ll notice it even more.
  2. I just recently had my alignment done and I also installed the 20mm sway. I've got STI BBS wheels installed, with barely-worn DWS tires inflated to a few # over the door placard. The Legacy's steering is very light on center. With lots of twists and turns, it's fine, but for straight highway driving over imperfect roads or with a decent amount of wind I feel as if I'm adding more input about center than I'd like. I've gotten used to it.
  3. Installed 20mm roll bar on my '15 Legacy 2.5i. Took me less than an hour, including cleanup. I haven't driven it since installation, but I'll report back any noticeable differences. I douched all fasteners with Deep Creep not too long ago, while bleeding the brakes and switching over to my all-season wheels/tires. Everything came apart very easily. It probably helped that this car spend up until last year down in North Carolina. I've put more rust on the frame this past winter than it had in it's previous three years of life! Gotta love New England snow (salt) storms. I've been making a habit of spraying bits with Fluid Film every time they're accessible, to stave off excessive corrosion. This is my first time using Fluid Film, but it seems to work well. After cleaning up the excess, I use the rag to wipe down my tools. We'll see how that goes, too.
  4. Looks like it’s a radar and laser jammer; the name is just a front, right OP?
  5. +1! // While swapping out the winters for AS setup, I bled the brake fluid and lubed the front brakes yesterday. This is the first time installing my recently-purchased STI take-offs (BBS), and I have to say they look way better than I thought they would. I'm also glad to say that they're balanced and drove well (always a worry when purchasing used).
  6. Very nice! // I ran out of time to work on the Legacy, but I was able to bleed and lube the brakes and then swapped to AS wheel/tire set for the FXT. I'm hoping to have time to remove the winters and install the BBS/DWS tomorrow for the Leggy.
  7. IcEWoLF, RE: your reply in the vol. 2 of this thread: That's perfect! I'm not sure if I'd go glossy, but it does look a lot better than the stock chrome. // I've had tint done at the same shop around here for the past 4-5 cars. The guy who has done it each time mentioned that he could cover the chrome bits with tint, and that it would look great. Has anyone tried this - have pictures to show? I don't recall how much he said he would do it for, because I also asked for OTD cost for that, clear bra, rear bumper protector, as well as a couple of other things, all together.
  8. +1 Also, when I replaced the dying fuel pump in my old '07 LGT (>220k miles), I lifted the assembly out and the first thing I noticed was that the tank was IMPECCABLE. I don't mean "good for its age," but absolutely clean. The mesh pre-filter had some discoloration (a slight browning), but it was free of any visible debris. NOTE: the '97 had traditional replaceable filter in the engine compartment, unlike modern filters that are a part of the pump assembly.
