Silver LGT Wagon tonight about 5:20PM in Wickford, RI - CT Plates ? I tought this was Davon at first, but no green rims and no turbo sticker on the left side quarter glass. I waved but may be too late. Car looks lowered, some tint in the back. Nice ride !

Pretty sure I saw this guy on 95N this morning on my way to work. Don't think it could be anyone else. Thought wow, that Outback looks like it has a nice lift kit on it. As I passed him, I saw everything else and realized why it had a "superu" license plate. Anybody hear anything else about this one?

I sat side by side with him in the traffic on 95N for about an hour this winter. Since his is lifted and mine is lowered, it was fun to chat

White LGT BP with TX plates tonight at 6:30PM in Warwick, RI. Tinted, may be lowered, stock wheels. Looks like you were lost.

 

Damn, white BPs are the sexiest cars ever.

I don't think so, would have spotted another BP. There are few other RBP LGT BPs in the area, they're not on this forum though.

Edit: $7 and 10 minutes... All fixed. Now I only have to worry about getting pulled over for my exhaust...

 

NP, glad I could warn you about the light. The exhaust is not that loud imo, do you think it may be a problem ?

Yesterday morning, going I95N, saw RobE flying south I95 in his Saabaru with goldies, down from exit 7.

I am in Narragansett at URI.

 

Saw demo243 at the light before the round-about in Narragansett, about 4PM today. You took to the right from the round-about, I turned left towards Narragansett beach. I was in wife's DGM Tribeca.

Wow I actually found someone on here! Yea that was me. Got that sticker from ihatestickers.com I laughed when I saw it and had to put it on. Your wagon looks good, nice and clean... unlike my dirty one. I am running the Greddy Evo2 catback... the sedan version so the tips are tucked... its loud but I love it. I was on my way up to the cape to go kiting... made my morning to find another LGT wagon.

81k. Thats also the second turbo. That was the replacement to the original. Bad replacement.

 

FWIW, I took mine VF40 out at ~78K (or 73, don't recall now) and it was just fine. I don't race or abuse my car (05 BP MT) but do autox and put an occasional WOT run just for fun.

The guy who bought it from me for replacement has ~130K on his stock VF40 and it runs great. Both turbos were at 3.5K OCIs since day 1.

 

I don't know whether it's the maintance that defines how long a particular VF40 lives or the quality varies wildly like with oil pickups.

 

 

That said, my car is so much better with BNR16G and Shamar's tune. Really love it.

Black 05 BL GT, grill, wheels, tint followed me from exit 5 to exit 9 on I295 North this morning. RI plates. Good looking sedan.

two 2.5i Legacy Sedans parked next to each other on Main St in Wakefield, RI around noon, one RBP and the other silver with trunk spoiler. I guess you were there for Mews 5K race, if so silver one you need you exhaust fixed.

 

Then RBP LGT at intersection of Main and 108 in Wakefield.

Don't worry about the clearance, I don't have issues with my LGT on STI pinks which drops it 1cm lower from stock. You might want to get some winter tires though.

I heard a piece on NPR from some retired veteran State trooper commando sergeant, and he said it will be a very hard law to enforce, and essentially the way they are most likely going to bust people is see them swerving or running a stop sign or not paying attention, and pull them over for that, and then look to see if it appears they were texting while driving.

 

Also it was explained that law applies to using the internet, and texting, but would assume anything that you are doing with your cellphone to detract from driving would fall under this law. However, the cop has to physically see you texting or whatever to write you the ticket.

 

this will be enforced better, just give it more time. All major insurance companies are lobbying to have some sort of tracking of cell phone usage. Major obstacle right now is to distinguish driver and passenger using it.

 

I have to say, I hate it when people text or e-mail behind the wheel. General public's driving habits are already bad enough as it is.

RBP LGT Wagon non-limited, auto, tinted from B pillar back last night at the circle by Brewed Awakenings in Wakefield, RI. RI plates. I think that's the one I see around, looks like the owner is not here.

 

Looked stock.

a handful of GT and regular BL/BPs yesterday (storm blew them out of garages I guess) :

 

- 05-06 RBP BL GT with blue HIDs and yellow fogs on Rt2 N, you're not in the area, so I guess you were coming from either Paul or Wicked Innovations;

- 05-06 NBP BL GT with RI veteran plates on RT 108, I waived, you waived back;

- white BL (07-09) followed by silver BP (05-06) on Rt108 in Peacedale;

- two RBP BLs, one GT (07-09) and the other 0506, both at the Wakefield liquors parking.

 

There's another 05 RBP BP GT with roof rack that I've spotted couple of times on the road around Peacedale/Wakefield, just never had a chance to talk to the guy.

Does anyone have any insight as to how this setup will work on snow/ice compared to the stock xt suspension?

 

I want to improve the dry handling because it is horrid, but I will soon be doing the majority of my driving in constant rain/ice/snow. I'm concerned that switching to the spec B legacy suspension or the legacy bilstein setup will make it worse in the snow or mild offroad driving.

 

Any personal experience with these scenarios here?

 

FWIW, my LGT wagon is on pinks + bilstein which drops it about 1/2 inch compared to stock LGT wagon suspension. No problems through New England winters, and I live in woods where they plow when they can get to it I do have dedicated winter wheel + tire set though.

On Ri sightings - couple of weeks back, a debadged white 05 LGT Wagon with some wheels parked at Mews Tavern in Wakefield, RI. Never saw that car before. Looks clean.

Paul, have you looked into 08+ WRX & Sti pumps ? I was looking at 245lh ones AVO is selling for 05 LGT with variable voltage support, and they list it as compatible with 08+ Wrx, Sti and FXT. My thought was to get one of those and retrofit it into my LGT. I was wondering what the flow is on those pumps. Don't think I like the idea of fuel pump running at 100% capacity all the time.

To each his own man.. It's not everyones style.. I'd rather not have the everyday gold, bronze, gunmetal or black wheels... All to common

Not a Legacy spotting but : yesterday morning, I-295 N around exit 8, an older gentleman driving 09 Forester with Subaru's badge of ownership saying my 6th Subaru. That's wild.

There's a guy a mile up the road from me with 05 Black limited LGT Wagon with black leather with < 20K miles on it... He's retired and only takes the car out once in a while. If only his was a MT...
