  1. exchanged waves with a dark blue LGT Wagon on RT 20 in Waltham around 5:25 today
  2. I just picked up an ABP GT Wagon 5eat for a second car. Apparently it's 1 of 99, sweet!
  3. nemo, Almost none of us need a boost gauge. I guarantee I'll install one!
  4. Saw a red 05 or 06 LGT wagon on 117 (North RD) in Weston (I was heading west, you were heading east). You had your high beams on for some reason.
  5. I saw two LGT's at Dent Sport Garage in Norwood yesterday. One is getting an AVO 500!! with 740 injectors installed, the other, I forget what they said. So who's the lucky guy that's going to have a ~350whp Legacy?
  6. the more I see about this, the more is this reaction: WANT!!!
  7. Logical answer and an easy way to identify a problem.
  8. NSFW, ratings are ratings, and a "200w" amp is a 200w amp at a certain frequency creating a sine wave. That does not say what the "200w" amp can do if over driven. The case biz77 states is true, but that isn't what we see in practice. In practice, the underpowered sub woofer is over driven by an amp that is capable of distorted power higher than the rated power of the sub or the undistorted rated power. This is done because the user wants more volume, and just turns things up.
  9. biz77, I did notice that the link pretty much agrees with what you said...
  10. M sprank, Both "sides" have correct info. "distortion" in this case is the "200w" amp providing more than 200w. The amp rating is NOT the max distorted power output. The rating is the max undistorted power output! The distance from there to the voltage rails is unknown from a basic data sheet, and in addition one distortion starts occurring, if you look at the power curve of the waveform, you're going up in power significantly. 20v peak to peak sine wave contains less power than a 20v peak to peak square wave. Bottom line, unless the sub is rated for more than the total (nondisclosed distorted) power output of the amp, you can overheat and melt the voice coils. (This statement assumes no margin on the rating, which with reputable brands, such as Msmith's JL Audio, will have.)
  11. I want one. I can't wait for this to be ready.
  12. 08 isn't ABP, it's NBP!! slight difference..not sure anyone can tell though
  13. Saw a black LGT wagon in Sudbury MA today. I flashed my lights to let you turn onto Powder Mill Rd before I turned. You had Sport Grill, and some kinda cat-back, not sure which. Sweet looking ride. You on here? (Mod list? )
  14. Think I waved at Snow05gtRI this AM (around 8am) in Waltham (rt 20 and south st)
  15. I was heading west on 117. That's how I get to work in Maynard.
  16. Snow05gtRI, NBP 08? Turning onto 117 around Shell? Sounds like me.
  17. No worries, I'm only on that route Monday and Thursday going from my office in Maynard to PT in Framingham *Waves*
  18. JaeGT, no clue, I saw the LGT between RT 30 and Old Conn. Path on RT 30 around 5:05 or so. (Got to where I was going around 5:10, so estimating). I remember the JDM sport grill, because you don't see those very often, and I think the car was tinted.
  19. Saw a dark grey 08/09 LGT with what looked like a JDM grill on RT 126 in Framingham just north of rt 30 yesterday afternoon around 5. You were heading north, I passed you in the NBP with HIDs
  20. Near Hannaford's last night in Waltham, saw a Silver LGT with HID's and factory spoiler.
  21. obp legacy gt at dsg with ny plates. whatcha having done?
  22. biz77, I agree. Oddly enough, re-reading most of what is here, we're both pretty accurate, but coming at things at a different angle. Btw, .21ms is an eternity in my world. 6.3 million cycles might as well be DC
