  1. Just saw a red 05 sedan with a spoiler and modded grill on prospect st in Framongham near whole foods.
  2. nope, wasn't in Waltham yesterday, was in Framingham. Also, I wear contacts these days.
  3. I was just at the performance shop I use getting my ECU flashed (VB line pressure increase for 5eat). One of the guys there now wants the VBG1 for his race car after seeing it in action.
  4. subscribed. Yeah I'm late to the party....
  5. Who cares about nationality? THIS IS A 500+HP engine being put in a Legacy!!! I want MOAR PICS and VIDS!!! Seriously, there are some awesome fabrication skills on display here. Can't wait to see this done.
  6. This is getting seriously awesome. I can't wait for this to be purring like a 500+HP kitten.
  7. that was me, saw your car, didn't post because I've been busy all weekend
  8. I was followed by a blue outback XT with HIDs in Framingham/Sudbury yesterday. (Elm st/Landham RD) Was in the 05 Wagon.
  9. I want to see where this goes. Adding this much HP? Always awesome! /Subscribe
  10. Saw a black wagon with a sport grill and a roof rack at Village Subaru this morning. Was helping a co-worker (who drives a civic hybrid) with a flat tire. Nice looking wagon
  11. shutterbc, that wasn't me, but you may have seen my GF's Wagon in the area other days. She has an ABP 05 Wagon
  12. What method are you using to update the firmware? I'd love to try out 1.01
  13. To ask a dumb question, the final overlay is easy to install vs the current? By the way, I've been to some local meets. Lots of STI/WRX owners love the gauge! Not too many LGT meets around here, but lots of STI's.
  14. I don't have a scope, but ever since my DW650's went in, the car sometimes turns over very fast, as in wist the key, and instead of hearing the crank 3-4 times, you hear it barely once before firring up.
  15. One question, what's the startup time? With my current setup, my car can turnover in at little as 3-500ms, and I'm just curious how long the gauge is sampling air before the readings get thrown off.
  16. I love running with the windows down when I can, so I'll let you know if I see any issues with buttons.
  17. Everything is fixed!!! No more 22PSI scares, as if you have a 07+ car, the ACC+ line turns off when you run the starter motor. Per lossol's suggestion, I hooked up to fuse #26 (IGN 2), to which power stays constant during engine start, and the gauge reported -19ish vacuum at idle. I'm supposed to be getting -20-22, but I'm not sure if that's my car or a small amount of error. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0139.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0137.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0138.jpg Also, the color, fit and finish are damn near perfect. The dealer is going to shit a brick when I go in for an oil change, because this looks like it belongs. The LED's and OLED screen match the car's OEM lights perfectly. I have to drive my gf's car today, because I have a P0037 CEL to deal with...but I'll definitely put some miles on this gauge, as it's just that awesome. lossol, I think you could put this gauge up there for a wider distribution, as this really feels like a professional quality piece. I mean, how hard would it be to adapt the design for other cars? You'd probably have to do on-demand PCB, which may mean orders take some time, but I could see this gauge selling for more cars than just the 05-09 Legacy if adapted. The refresh has zero lag, which makes the gauge appear responsive and spot on. This gauge is freaking great. I can't wait for the next New England meet, because this is going to make people's jaws drop.
  18. I have no idea if the 12+ parking light wire I hooked up works or not. I used the +Illumination wire from the radio....which I believe should work, as it should go to +12V when lights are on, and 0V when they're off. I need to borrow a meter from my lab at the office to confirm.
  19. I'll check into that. Just filled the car with gas...I know my MPG's will be non-existent this tank. Need to get my car checked, as I'm pushing 20-22PSI per this gauge...I have no reason to suspect the gauge...but 20-22PSI at 4000RPM? EDIT: I hooked up the power wrong...I'll need to hook up power to a different source...will report back later on that. Looks like the 22PSI isn't real.
  20. Here is the T I used, it's OEM Subaru I think http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0133.jpg Here are the blades I took out http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0131.jpg Here is the gauge in the vent while I'm test fitting stuff http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0130.jpg Here is the T installed in the vacuum line http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0134.jpg Here is the vacuum line going through the firewall, it isn't very clear, but it's going into a rubber gasket there along with the power wire for the stereo. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l177/ean611/IMAG0136.jpg Too dark to get good pics of the final install, I'll post those in the AM.
  21. no idea BAC5.2, I went to Dent Sport Garage (http://www.dentsport.com) and asked them what I needed. They sold me all the hose I needed and T for $10. It's supposedly an OEM Subaru part, so you should be able to get it from your local dealer. (Subaru does sell an OEM boost gauge). The hose and T are down in my car, I can check them out later for you and take some pics and post them if that helps.
  22. I'm jealous.....I just picked up the hose and T fitting today...but no boost gauge... (Also, I'm at my office...it could be sitting at home without my knowledge)
  23. Wow, i'm the latest in the payment dept.... Well, I'll have pics up ASAP.
  24. Yeah, that was probably me. I think I'm down a turbo...see marketplace for gory details.
