  1. So the "filter" is just a screen with a baffle on the back, and a spring to keep the filter in place?
  2. I don't think it's necessarily difficult. Just time and fluid consuming.
  3. I have an old style Single Stage booster sitting in a corner somewhere...
  4. Yea, I saw that after I posted. Thanks. Looks like a PITA. I'll double check the flare size on my 09. Maybe, by some dumb luck, I'll have the 10mm flare fitting. Doubtful. Maybe I'll take the plunge to swap it over if the pedal feel bothers me that much. Stupid VDC. Ooo, maybe the NEWER STi booster/BMC will directly swap? They had VDC too.
  5. Bumping a thread from the dead. Has anyone installed the STI Brake MC and booster into a VDC equipped car?
  6. How much for your Rotas? I know you've had them for AGES. Are they straight/no scuffs? I want a cheap set of brembo clearing wheels, just in case I can't reasonably make my stockers fit.
  7. Geometric repositioning of the rack isn't going to happen, unless you manufacture your own front knuckles with a modified ball joint pickup location. Trying to bolt things to the existing ball joint locations to extend the pickups is a disaster waiting to happen. If you want ideal steering, the steering rack can only be in exactly one place. Move it, steering will suffer. No real workarounds for that. Doing an LSX swap to RWD is almost a bolt-in affair, though.
  8. I went through this in heavy detail. It's almost impossible to keep the car AWD and do this without sacrificing handling and cutting the hood. RWD is actually very easy, but fitting wide enough tires becomes a challenge.
  9. If it is Fiode Fynamics, don't hold your breath. It took 6 months to get a replacement set of ballasts. Edit: Vendor name changed to prevent disrespect.
  10. And if good answers don't come?
  11. I still have the spacer drawings sitting on my desk. Haven't had time to make them. Right around $800-$1000 depending on springs, still less than a proper set of coilovers.
  12. If that was tan, I'd buy it. Problem is, you need a LOT of other parts than just that. I made a thread a year or so ago about the EDM interior, and there was a parts list within it.
  13. Has anyone done this with the turbo on the car? I am going back and forth about removing the system.
  14. I'm inclined to agree that they are likely the same. But that's something to consider before dumping a bunch of cash on OE axles. I don't remember if the Pix say spline counts. I was trying to find the diff-end spline count of the Spec-B (the shaft spline count, not the splines for the diff), and wasn't able to come up with anything definitive.
  15. But do they have spline counts?
  16. Dmanenk - Yea, the Sedan was 20mm wider overall, 10mm per side. Iggy - Yes, the fix was to use Sedan axles. You have a problem, because 6-speed axles are likely not the same as the 5MT axles. Your best bet is 2010-2012 WRX axles like Mat suggested. Those are very likely to fit, but only a test-fit will say for sure. Your car can't really be driven as-is, unfortunately. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on these arms. I was minutes away from it, too.
  17. It depends on how much wider your track now is. If it's more than, say, 10mm, then you are going to find out the hard way that the axles can't take it. That happened to a few people I've known who did the WRX wagon -> sedan front end swap and trying to keep their wagon axles (which were now 10mm too short). They blew out joints, because the roll pin held the joint to the trans.
  18. I believe one of the requirements for sniffer testing is that the vehicle is at operating temperature.
  19. What glitches are you experiencing? I'll keep an eye out for them.
  20. My Beta should arrive soon as well. I beta'd the first-gen unit and have been using it since. Can't wait! BTW, my first-gen unit is for sale if anyone wants it!
  21. The pillow ball in the '11 arm doesn't fit the 08-10 arm. Looks like these are '08-'11 arms, then.
  22. That's what I wonder. 08+ is misleading. 08-10 is fine, but if they are '11+, the bushings are quite different. If installing these with a whiteline RCK, what do you need to do to make it bolt in? Still need the extra cone?
  23. No they arent. The 2011 STi got spherical bushings that don't fit in any other LCA. If these are 2011 arms, then you can use the 2011 beefed up LCA bushings. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/2011-sti-pillow-ball-lca-bushing-fits-legacyi-141836p2.html?highlight=STi+LCA+bushings
