  1. ^^^^^ If you use a R160 rear diff. You can use the stock GT's rear axles. ONLY if you use a R180, you need to use 07-09 Spec.B axles. Mike
  2. Very nicely done. If my 2.0L goes in my Solstice GXP. 3.8L Turbo, would be on my short list. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/0707070914.jpghttp://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/0707070915.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/GXP/0908071245_edited-1.jpg Mike
  3. Click here > http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/get-your-oil-filtration-down-2-microns-81741.html My OCI is 15k, original motor & turbo still at over147k. Mike
  4. ^^^^^^^ if you can do that on asphalt it is. And you need away to control all that POWER Mike
  5. OOOOOOOOO ya:cool: With the DCCD turn all the way down. You can kick the rear out. Slide it threw the corner, then the front LSD in the STI 6MT will pull you out straight & true  Mike
  6. Yes, here's how I did mine, http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1326375&postcount=76 Mike
  7. If the Cases are the same in that area & the center diff splines . You can add the DCCD, but you would need to do is at least drill a hole in the case for the wires to the DCCD. That can be sealed, so your 6MT don't leak. I would price the different between installing DCCD & Front LSD in the Spec. B 6MT. & buying a use STi 6MT. Then go from there. Mike
  8. Yes, but get the STi fly wheel bolt. They are hex head bolts. Not the Torx T-50 plus heads. Mike
  9. And the Spec.B don't have DCCD (like NSFW said) & front LSD. Mike
  10. ^^^^^^ OOOOOOOO YAAAAAAAAA:whore: Mike
  11. The R180 rear come from the STi with 3.90 final. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/impreza/wrxsti2005.html with 07 & ^ Spec.B rear half shaft. If your 6MT is 1:1.1 you need a 3.454 rear. Which gives you 3.90 final. So you need to know if your 6MT has a 1:1 transfer gear from front to rear, or 1:1.1 transfer gear from front to rear. That will tell you, if you need a 3.90 or a 3.45 rear diff.. Mike
  12. NSFW, just called Driveshaft Specialist 1-866-455-6622. Talked to Jeff. They have the info. on my drive shaft. Front shaft 24.12", rear shaft 36.12". Uses 1310 XL u-joint & 2002 Forrester Wagon A/T carrier bearing with 05 LGT carrier bearing mounting bracket to bolt to the drive shaft tunnel. Hope this helps, Mike
  13. ^^^^^^^^Here, I post this earlier in this thread, http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2931693&postcount=187 Mike
  14. Off to work, I'll look into it when I get back home to night. Mike
  15. Yes, but what exactly is your concern? The STi 6MT is rated around 550 ft..lbs torque. Mike
  16. Good luck, just small correction, * Or maybe custom Drive shafts not rear axles like Hammer Down. http://www.thrashdriveshaft.com/ Mike
  17. Lists looks good, need to use the OEM natural safety switch,[NSS] out of the 5MT, for the cruise control to work. Shifting boot, inner & outer. Unless you going to cut them down a little to fit the 6MT's shifter. Mike
  18. Sorry I don't, you have to jack the car up anyways. I would turn you key in the forward, tranny in "R". Go under the car and unplug one to see if your "R" lights go out. If not you know it's the other one. Mike
  19. No one's your back-up light the other is your NSS. Just a guess, I haven't got around to do mine yet. I would remove your exhaust, heat shield, drive shaft, put jack under tranny & jack it up a little and remove the front & rear tranny support cross breams. Let jack back down. Mike
  20. I'm guessing around $8k or more from Subaru. You have to buy everything separately, 6MT,TOB, clutch fork, Drive shaft, shifter, shifter knob, flywheel, presser plate, clutch, slave cylinder & alot of odds & ends. Just a guess off the top of my head, Mike
  21. IDK, it was touched on in this closed thread, http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/iii-6mt-spec-b-same-stiiii-75230.html All I know is the 05 STi is a pressure-lubricated system. Mike
  22. IDK final gear ration has JDM spec.B 6MT,but with only 500km you'll probity ok. I would limit my driving until you know for sure. If it has 1.1, you"ll need, I think a 3:54 (double check please) rear end. And with 3:90, your center diff is get the hell abused out of it. Mike
  23. IMO yes, But these are what you won't get with the Spec.B 6MT. That you do get in a STi 6MT, a Front LSD & Center DCCD. Mike
