  1. Water is one of nature's most powerful solvents. The lowest I would go even in warm climes would be 70/30 H20/AF.
  2. Isn't coolant also used to lubricate the impellor?
  3. I'd add some AF for anti-corrosion purposes. Water is definitely the the primary and most effective heat transporter.
  4. I can count the number of LGTs I have seen on one hand. Last night I finally saw other one. An 06 Spec.B on the busy-ish outbound Kennedy. This one has been spotted before I think. It was driven by a trim woman who looked to be in her early-mid 60s with shoulder length blond hair. Nice looking ride and she did accelerate fairly hard into lane openings. LOL!
  5. No. That 3 mode system in the 07s.
  6. ^It looks like the intelligent drive system uses tip in to as one method to control engine response.
  7. The LGT is still a newish model and long term problem/issues trends have not started to appear yet. My previous car was 95 Infinit J30t and the site I frequented had lots of owners with cars well over 120k miles. A great deal of the talk revolved around PM (preventative maintenance).
  8. Got our second LGT owner idicating 30+mpg. bumping again.
  9. It will be interesting to see what this site looks like when the average mileage is 60K.
  10. I'd have to change my vote. Since I've switched to ContiExtreme 215/50/17 for the winter, my mileage has dropped from what I was getting with OEM (and winter gas). Getting 25.8 after 1200 or miles. 26.7 after 6000. Bumping for more data.
  11. We just had our first LGT check in with 30+mpg.
  12. Havoline orange. Nissan used to reccomend their own special AF as well. The problem use that their stuff (green) was crap designed only to get the car through warranty. It's been a while since I emmersed myself in AF DD.
  13. I used to use the orange stuff on my J30's VG30DE
  14. Bumping for more data. Drove hard today and mpg for the last 1000ish miles dropped to 25.8. Wind makes a huge difference in mileage. Very windy in these parts today. Wind can affect my mpg +/- 5 mpg from median @ 70-75 mph. Crosswinds decrease mpg significantly.
  15. Still hanging on to 26.7 for the last 5600 miles. 26.1 for the last 1000. The info gathered here on this poll is getting more interesting by the vote.
  16. The traffic in Chicago was a friggin' mess tonight. I used the NAV to find new surface street short cuts for 30 miles and still ended up with the Spec. parked back in my garge with 26.1 mpg displaying on the info system after a total trip of 100 miles.
  17. 20-22 mpg has jumped into the lead. My mpg has been decreasing lately which I put down to my new A/S tires and being forced to take more surface streets due to tollway construction delays. Long term mileage has slipped from 27.0 to 26.7 and my two tankful average is barely hanging on to 26.1.
  18. With winter gas on sale now, we should see mpg getting lower. It would be interesting to repeat this poll in March.
  19. The LGT does use alot of gas until it's fully warmed up. Still, your average mpg is very low but hwy seems normal.
  20. The poll results show that you have something fundamentally amiss with your engine management sytem. Take your LGT to the back to the dealer and get it checked out. One more question that might not matter a wit, do you steady state cruise or is your foot constantly probing the accellerator?
  21. What rpm do you normally cruise?
  22. bumping for sample size
  23. Looks like it. What are your driving habits? Do you like to drive quickly from light to light? How many times do you surpass 4k rpm during a typical drive? When you're doing a steadyish 40 mph, what gear are you using?
