  1. That's not possible. The SPEC.B would have been traveling faster than the speed of light!

    :spin:

The Spec.B can't exceed the speed of light. Nothing can.

The reason he saw me (and it was me) is because I didn't have the cloaking device engaged. I don't use it too much because it's hard on mileage and people keep making lane changes into you.

I thought Tosh was going to say he saw me getting a ticket on I90E right before the Fox river bridge about 11:30 last night.:eek::redface::mad::spin::rolleyes:

75 in a 55. I wasn't going 75. I never go 75 because the cops are looking for that 21mph+ level to enforce.

I think he didn't like a maneuver I pulled in traffic. The Statie said he trailed me from Barrington Rd. At 12:10-15pm today, I checked it on the Nav and the distance is 6 miles. I also rechecked actual vs indicated MPH via the GPS at at the rpm that I usually have the CC set to. I was not doing 75.

Should have used the cloak instead of hyper-miling. :p

PS Didn't see you yet again. Honk next time! :)

  2. Saw an 07 Spec.B westbound on the NW Tollway near Barrington Road. We were slowing for accident traffic. I was in the left lane and you were in the center and soon exited. I honked an waved and you honked back.

FYI, Some numb nut put their car into the center divider a little way past the exit. Once past it, I then proceeded to impress my passenger buddy with the Spec.B's exquisite acceleration.

    Time was ~ 5:50pm

  3. Proxes if you want bang for the buck and gobs of dry grip (they're solid in wet as well), P-Zero Nero M+S if you're willing to pay a little more. Forget the Avons and only go with the Contis if you have a lot of snow/slush. I've had the Proxes, P-Zero's, and Conti's before and would rank them P-Zero's 1st by a slight margin over the Proxes, and then a decent gap to third for the Conti's.

I would primarily recommend the Contis as a winter tire. They perform pretty well all around but their forte is definitely inclement conditions.

  4. Just chimed in. 50/50 city and hwy and I get 21mpg over a 3k mile range.

I don't change my driving do to gas prices, or I would have bought a Honda.

If gas hits $4, even Honda owners will modify their driving habits.

    BTW, noice avatar.

  5. I got some clarification on the ECU swap from my dealer today. I went to pick my car up (which was there all week) and the black LGT which has been there for almost 3 weeks was still there. Apparently my LGT because of the build date or whatever, takes a different ECU revision than the black on they had there. His is on backorder, mine is not.

Hmmm.... so there are differences between various LGT ECUs.

  6. Safe to assume I'm always full of sh!t. Unless we're talking schnauzer's, then I'm dead serious.

A woman goes to her local pharmacy to buy some hair remover.

The clerk says to her, "be careful if you go in the sun because this can cause chemical reactions and burn your skin."

The woman says, "Oh I'm not using this on my legs."

So then he says, "Well if you use this under your arms you need to let the hair grow out for a few days."

Once again the woman says, "I'm not using it under my arms."

So the clerk looking very confused asks, "Where are you going to remove hair with this?"

The woman smiles at him and says, "My Schnauzer."

The clerk rings up her purchase and after thanking her whispers, "I wouldn't ride a bike for a few days then."
