Derp, don't let the tree huggers get to you. The fact of this matter is we may be polluting a bit more than others. Being catless I have run my car on the emission dyno and it runs pretty damn clean. I'd be willing to bet my car runs cleaner than a 10-15 year old car with cats. Close off the vents in the trunk if your getting fumes in the car. For the record, I had fumes coming in before I did any modifications. The only difference was the fumes smelled like rotten eggs!

If your braking is smooth, and the rotors are in good shape I don't see any problem with doing what I call a "pad slap".

Here is my tip; Before opening the hydraulic system, depress and hold the brake pedal with a block of wood against the seat cushion. This closes the ports in the master so when you open the system the master will not run dry.

Fuel pump control module

Hey Guys, I pulled my monthly learning view last night and I see some knock in the 4000-5800 range which I NEVER had before. IAM was at .875 I was data logging, and I pulled a tad of timing and richened up those cells but it still seems to have slight knock. I am thinking I am running out of fuel. I have DW740's and the Walbro. Any thoughts, possibly a voltage issue after the fuel pump module? I really have not started a diagnosis yet but I thought I would run this by everyone. -
Fuel pump control module

Just a thought, maybe the fuel lines cannot keep up with the volume. There is a finite amout of fuel that will flow and any given pressure. -
Well I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

Just a general statement here guys, don't get all ruffled about it. IMO if you have a vendor problem you should do everything in your power to reslove it before you start posting a rant. I am sure most vendors would respond in a timely fashon.

I'm here to help, I'm glad it worked for you. You have no idea how crazy this made me figuiring this out. I was passing out one day from CO exposure and I stopped somewhere and open the trunk. Owww, the smell was strong. Breath easy now Larry!

Yes, I may have been on to something! Great info, I'm going to check the voltage on mine for the hell of it. I will say when I start the car the pump is at 100% and it whines pretty loud until the controller steps down the voltage. Did you do a voltage drop across the power feed from the control unit and at the FP module? It may go through an intermedate connector somewhere and you could have high resistance. Subscribed! -
Spark Plug Install Instructions
GTTuner replied to BoxerGT2.5's topic in Walkthroughs :: Basic Operation & Maintenance
These are really not that bad if you have done a few. The best way to start the new plug is slip a piece of vacuum line over the tower on the plug, (use a piece about 3-4 inches long). It works as a flexable extension and you will never cross thread a plug because the hose will spin if the threads crossed. I usually run the plug all the way in with the tubing, then torque them. Also, some cars have a fiber type insulation on the inside of the frame rail. Pop the clip out and let it hang down. This will give you another 1/4 to work with between the head and the frame rail on the back two plugs. I dont know why some cars have this insulation and some do not but I see it randomly. -
Perrin inlet install issue! Please help

Exactly, I was amazed at how well the new design fits. Glad you got it done! -
Perrin inlet install issue! Please help

The last Perrin inlet I put in (ver. 2) on a 20g e-bay turbo, went into an 05 LGT wagon. It fit amazingly well. Huge improvement over the previous design. I cannot comment on 07+ fitment. However, I still recomend an OE inlet. -
I have a rather rare GRP/Taupe/Limited/MT sedan.
