  1. How'd you know I was typing about you?
  2. I am sure some would probably :icon_bigg
  3. That's a Monday. Who forget to pick up their ABP sedan at Bloomington Subaru after service? Sitting in the lot with the rotors all rusty (not the used car lot).
  4. Tie a big magnet on the back bumper. The parts will start falling off any minute now.
  5. My wife has plans with friends from work that day. I might just stop by.
  6. Spectating or participating? What time?
  7. What?????? Little Sizzlers, Jimmy Dean, damn...it just gets worse! I'm secure with my sexual orientation.
  8. My Hogmeat Wonder Washers are history. It only took me two days of driving and it dawned on me what it sounds like. When I was a kid some of my friends had home-made go-karts with a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton with a bad muffler and a centrifugal clutch. The noise the car made as the revs rose and fell with the automatic trans sounds to me just like those go-karts did. Naturally this recollection is clouded by many years and my current not-so-good hearing. Sorry Hogger, but I gave it a try.
  9. Jeez Brady...I still have a warranty and am waiting for the stuttering, the HVAC and radio gremlins, and all the other stuff that is supposed to happen, and you want me to f*** with this glitchy electrical system? Just what I need, a perpetual glowing CEL. Sorry, but I am waiting for the final chapter of this story. I have had to reach to the dash to adjust the volume for the past 33 years...I think I can last a few more months.
  10. Here's another one. Two S.S. washers. Short drive and am undecided if it will stay. I will live with it for a few days to see if the number of "what was that?" looks outnumber the number of "what the f***?" looks. Maybe it's the automatic.
  11. This is true. We need a galvanized to stainless steel ratio for the different stages.
  12. MY lazy ass has gone as far as buying the washers from Jedi's Mod Shop...otherwise known as Home Depot. Stainless steel...$2.94 plus tax.
  13. Don't tempt me. Others are much farther ahead and we might as well let them continue. Illumination is no big deal as you will quickly get used to what button does what. I need to study the wiring diagrams more. It doesn't make any sense that each model (auto, manual, auto climate, etc) would have a different wiring harness in the steering column...too many variables when you build them. My problem is too many other things demanding my attention...happens as you get older.
  14. Yeah, that's the place. I live about a mile or so from there (to the west and a little north). I work until 4 on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Let me know if you're up for it.
  15. I'm just remembering what a pain it was taking stuff apart in the Camry (door panels to replace broken inside door releases). It's not too hard if you know which direction to pull, push or pry the piece (dictated by what exactly the damn fastener looks like). Unfortunately neither Toyota nor Subaru service manuals give you a detailed close-up of just what you are working with and usually give you the well thoughtout directions of "...remove bezel..." or "...remove garnish...". Thanks for that help. I cracked the little triangular shaped piece in the leading corner of the window (on the inside) and that flippin' piece was $23! On top of the $45 I paid for the door handle. If there isn't one already (I haven't spent a lot of time looking) I think we should have a thread with close-up pictures of how various panels, trim, bezels and garnishes are attached. Since I got the digital camera I take pictures of everything I pull off the car (GT fog light surrounds for one), so that I know how to remove them in the future when I have to take it apart again. I really hate gouging or marking up pieces while trying to remove them. Brady, we should meet for a beer or soda at Zeke's on Old Shakopee after work some day. You work down there right? Oh, how true!
  16. Well now I know who to ask when I want some help in removing interior trim without breaking it all to $hit.
  17. Great...probably one of those days on the assembly line...I wonder how many other parts I'm missing? rfd...if Kimmi mistook you for me, I feel sorry for you, you're much better looking . Maybe you have deep tinted windows...maybe the sun wasn't out glaring off my head... Mark
