  1. Did you look at my pictures in post #5? There is no saggy butt with this combo.
  2. This modification is only necessary for installing the Koni front shock inserts. If you are going to do a spring install this is not that much more work for the benefit of proper damping.
  3. So who is the black LGT with NH plates that works in the same office park as me? (Billerica, MA spotted at 8:40AM)
  4. SWP GT Wagon with Sport Edition mesh-style wheels and a carrier box at the Mittersill lift parking lot of Cannon Mtn. yesterday (Sunday).
  5. Best place for OEM stuff is Fred Beans. They are a supporting vendor of this forum and are great guys to deal with. You can use their OEM catalog to order: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=216335 Or you can call them 888-556-3447. Ask for Dan, Ryan or Jeremy. Tell them Rick sent you.
  6. http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/us_b13/type_40/manipulation/pedal_system/illustration_1/ Check your build date, but I would guess 36010AG021.
  7. Did my wheel bearings today and ^this^ happened on both sides. The only thing to do was beat the crap out of the remaining piece with a 3lb sledge. On the driver side I had to cut away the old dust shield to be able to get a wedge (putty knife) in... on the passenger side I was able to get enough of a crack by hammering to fit my chisel and pry bar in right away. Taking the car out for a spin after was amazing... it was like riding in a new car.
  8. Chad, if you had to take a guess, do you think a non-folding rear seat could be swapped into an '08 sedan? My friend's '08 is totaled and being salvaged... he is willing to give me the rear seat setup but he is worried the insurance/salvage company will balk at having no rear seat. Just investigating options at this point.
  9. TRS has a nice little vid about their ballasts: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDQMHEDpx4w]YouTube - Ballast Comparison from TheRetrofitSource.com - Morimoto Greddy Matsushita Denso[/ame] The Morimoto is looking even more appealing, especially at $110 vs $165 for the Densos.
  10. I'm going to try and "keep it simple" and use the Legacy shield w/ filled-in squirrel finders. I thought about trying a custom shield, but it is more than I want to try with my first retro. Still undecided on lenses. The Legacy lens/holder is probably sufficient for my needs though and will save me some $$.
  11. Garrett, what do you use for weatherproofing ballasts like the Densos? I'm drawn to the Morimoto ballasts for their packaging although I know the Densos are the "gold standard". Do you pot the internals or seal them in an enclosure? Are they good enough on their own? Myevodream: Maybe when it comes time to do your swap I can give you a hand. My project is going to be more R&D and I prefer to work alone on that kind of stuff.
  12. The H7 relay harness has two "9006" output connectors... Are you supposing the black pigtail in the pic is an adapter from the 9006 outputs on the harness to the input plug on the ballast? Sorry, I'm pretty new to the retro stuff. *EDIT* Link to pigtail: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=231 "Adapts the Denso ballasts for direct compatibility with any relay wire harness Missing the inputs for your Denso slim Ballasts? Look no further. These inputs are designed specifically for your ballasts, are brand new Sold in pairs (2 inputs, with red/black wiring) for $15 Free (and included) with purchase of our Denso ballasts of course."
  13. Just picked up this kit: (2) RX330 non-AFS projectors (2) H7 - D2S Ballast adapter pigtails (1) H7 low beam relay harness (2) Philips 85122+ HID D2S bulbs (1) package of Nissan headlight sealant http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr274/tobey457/com002JPG.jpg Obviously I need some ballasts to make this work. With the adapter pigtails I can use an H7 ballast, but I wonder is it worth it? Why not just get a D2S ballast and use it direct? Is this for someone who bought a HID kit to work with stock projectors but then decided to upgrade and reuse ballasts? Just seems like if I can 1) eliminate an extra connection, and 2) go with a Denso Slim Ballast (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=161) then I will be better off. Will the H7 relay harness still work in that application? I'm assuming the relay harness simply allows the OEM head light control to activate a relay-controlled direct feed to the ballasts. My plan is to use the Legacy lens and holder with the RX330 bowls. I'm not looking to color mod, I just want a sharp cutoff and a nice true white.
  14. RBP sedan with license plate "H4XOR" in an office park in Billerica, MA yesterday morning.
  15. That was me... Black, debadged sedan with black rims and a CBE, right?
  16. ABP Sedan (w/ aftermarket wheels I think, you were moving) on Rt.4 south through Chelmsford this AM ~7:15.
  17. Great compilation! I appreciate the level of detail in the formatting. I look forward to seeing your progress and maybe doing this myself one day. The 35/65 split is nice but you have to accept the open center diff. Why not go with the 41/59 split of the '06+ STI and use DCCD to dial it to a more rearward bias, and get a slick helical center diff?
  18. QSM Spec.B turning on to Rt.4 in N.Billerica this morning. Car looked stock. There is also a DGM modified LegacyGT sedan in the same area with mesh wheels and a CBE. Who are you?
  19. I almost pulled a last second turn to pull up next to you and find out who you were. Unfortunately I was late for work. I live right near Forge Village and drive N. Main St. every day on my way to work. I would love to check out your car in greater detail sometime. Seriously gorgeous. You made me reconsider the JDM Rev.D+ Spec.B swap I'm planning in favor of the relatively simple Rev.A-C. It is so much better than USDM and not having to swap fenders and headlights would save me a big chunk of change.
  20. Who was the DGM with JDM spec.b bumper swap in Westford, MA this morning? I was in shock when I saw you!
  21. How will we interface the LC-1 with it? Some sort of ribbon cable adapter?
  22. LegacyMUN2k6, that must have been you I saw passed (Wednesday) going East on 119 just past the intersection with 225, ~5:45PM. '08 DGM w/ mesh grille and exhaust.
  23. Unbelievable. Now I just need to figure out what sensor will go with my LC-1 output. For reference, I can still use my serial output on the LC-1 and drive this off the analog output, right? *edit: found the answer on the last page... looks like it is a go!
  24. I think MSI will do custom axles for ~$1800 for the set. I would imagine FBP can get them cheaper though, but I can't find them in their drill down menu on the website.
