I know there might not be a ton of interest in this as there are only a few who actually have nav, but it's good knowledge none the less.....

This thing should allow easy plug and play, DVD, Carputer or anything.....they have a specific subaru application for the Tribeca, so I assume the Tribeca and our nav's are the same.......

Very promising. I emailed the guy on the 06 Subuaru Outback to see about the possibilities.

My thoughts would be to get some sort of auto sensing switch for audio and input multiple sound sources to it and then connect to Jazzy's board.

Front Row on the Nav LCD with a mac mini. Ohhhh the possibilities!

I've managed to find a few different options for graphic's frontends but still haven't found any with a good gauge option or anyway to feed the gauge inputs into a way a PC would understand. I need to email them and ask about the touch screen functionality as well.

A friend of mine used that unit in his IS300 and made it work. The IS300 has a joystick control though and is not a touchscreen. Here's his thread if your interseted (may have to register to view)

I wonder if they sell those like push button/nipples things in the middle of a laptop keyboard seperate from the laptop?

wheels > pr0n in the car world

 maybe, maybe not......

Yeah we are gonna work everything out, I've gotta check out our nav and get some pics for him to verify some stuff.

Most likely we wont' be able to bring the touch screen interface to new items, I mean who would write the code to where the new items are....ya know. If it did this they'd sell 5 million in a day......:icon_bigg

Yeah so the update, def no touchscreen....it's subaru proprietary stuff....

For sound, we'd have to use the Jazzy board, or the CleanSweep with this to get audio though......which was my idea in the first place, couple amps, sub, clean sweet, this puppie, dvd player and rear cam........I need to hit the lotto :D

scans007: For the sound i am using an FM modulator right now and as for touchscreen i dont need it. I do want to get the picture from my dvd upfront. Have you had a chance to confirm that this box works with the Legacy and are there (going to be) any instructions on how to get it working?

Keep up the good work.

Actually it's simple, it's gonna be plug and play once I can verify that the connectors are the same.....so you'll plug this unit in with power, hook up the stuff and be done with it....instructions are provided....

Should know at the latest by friday.......hang in there
