But the comparo should figure that in. The Mazda would be way down in price compared to the field. The hidden factors for Euro cars are alway high option prices and reliability headaches. For me, Audi has such a poor reliability record, going back for so many years, that I wouldn't even consider one. If you keep it beyond the warranty it is a ticking cost and headache bomb. I think it was generally well balanced, but I did get a little tired of their effusing over the Audi (although, if it had been the Subaru...!); it only won by less than 2 points (out of 400). From the article, you'd have thought it ran away from the competition. The more astonding was the difference between the Subaru and the BMW (although they were somewhat apologetic about having chosen the 325 rather than the 330...price constraints, you know).
