I can understand if you like the feeling of engaging a clutch, but performance wise, unless your a professional driver, the difference is minimal. I know I have driven both. My previous 06 LGT sedan was a 5MT. Having had a 5eat wagon for the past year or so (granted mine is an IPT 5eat), it accelerates at the same rate every time I stomp the gas. With a 5mt u have to downshift to the right gear, the shifts aren't even close to as smooth, etc. Now considering the fact I used to push close to 400 whp, I am only referring to my recent back to stock / stage 1 experience. Anyhow, this aus wagon is hot no matter how you look at it. although 40k is a little steep for my pockets. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But I have never driven a IPT 5EAT, only the shitty 5EAT that comes stock, and I know they don't compare. Just saying I can shift perfectly smoothly in my 13 year old 5mt.
