Ellesedil
Do you expect the paint to somehow hold up better?
fullmonte77
Yes I do.I sandblasted the rivets on the wheels so the paint would stick.Plus paint is way cheaper than dip.(

fullmonte77
Plasti Dip Doesn't Fail. You did. It was not the dips fault but the wheels.I have a grille and fog surrounds that are fine.I had to fix my wheels several times. The problem is my wheels have little rivets around the inside edge and the dip just would not stick the way it should to them. And yes the were cleaned very well before I dipped them. The biggest problem was the wheels were painted on the inside originally and that paint was chipping a little and I think that caused the dip to pull away.I would have dipped again but I didn't want to spend all that money and have it happen again. And by the way dip is not perfect. SpecBlitzed
Trick with Plasti Dip is the can needs to be somewhat warm. Jam that cylinder pressured paint pot into your pocket and walk it warm. Then proceed with the dipping action. Yep I was giving you hard time we all make mistakes, we are human.
monstorr
If you use tire shine you have to clean the area where the wheel and dip touch each other too.
