mattcornelison
I have a 2.5i with 106k i bought used i have no idea if tranny fluid has ever been replaced. I saw that it might be a bad idea to have it flushed or remove plug and change some of it after 100k if it has never been changed. Any recommendations? Also car shifts fine no tranny problems just trying to mantain car.
rob-2
If you can pull the service records it's best to follow what's been done. If you have doubts, a simple drain and fill is best. If you fear it's never been done, do a drain/fill and repeat a few times every 5k for 2-4 times. The flush is a concern if it's never been done, as junk gets pushed around. Last one should have been done around 90K.
FJuan
+1 ^^ If it was me, I would do a simple drain and fill, if you notice the fluid is darker, then I would repeat again after 5k miles. My wife's balls are delicious.
mattcornelison
I just called the dealership they found the vin looks like they did the 90k but no flush just a dump and the rear diff. What all does the normal 90k service include she wouldn't tell all that way I can save some time with other maintenance
