NiteOwl561
So, are these wheels worth it? Ok, so I'm looking for new wheels to clear the '08 STi Brembo front and rears I just picked up. I found these local, (actually about an hour and a half drive) for around $400 cash. They are not new and one wheel definitely has some curb damage, I'd call it significant. The others have typical wear and tear from daily use. From what I can tell, there are no visible bends and structurally the look good. NiteOwl561
Are these considered 18x8 or would the be 18x9?
laz
Why don't you look behind inside the wheel. There are usually markings telling you the specs of the wheel. X ---
ShockerGT
If they are +51 then it will be tight on clearance. My +48 18x8 Superleggeras are very close to my Brembos
NiteOwl561
So any thoughts on if they are worth $400 with damage? I'm not concerned about weight reduction, as I don't track the car. I'm thinking it's better to get a brand new wheel that's a little more expensive than waste $400 on these.
laz
Only if you can fix them yourself or find a cheap way of fixing them. They are good wheels if the run true. I would make a $300 offer X ---

My +48 18x8 Superleggeras are very close to my Brembos you know offset has nothing to do with brake clearance right? easy way to find out is to see if they say these wheels will fit 04 STi
LatentWagen
Are these considered 18x8 or would the be 18x9? That wheel is 18x8... they are measured from inside of the lips, where the tire would seat. LW's spec. B / YT / IG
O.C.D.
Close up of the damaged wheel. File down the rough parts and then make sure you prep well. grab some JB weld and then apply liberally. Wait to dry and then sand down to smooth. Prep/paint/clear, done. Easy to fix. $400 is not bad at all for those wheels.

Spec B
BTW - these will not clear brembos without a spacer.
