Nice. I'd be inclined to use the jdm shell as more parts will be a direct fit.

Most of the parts I get from www.auctions.yahoo.co.jp

hey ya good advice, now after taking a better look at the JDM wagon, I think I might try to get the car back on the road again. everything is so MINT inside (only 48,000 kms) and I can't believe its 15+ years old. only bad compression in one cylinder and I'm not sure what other problems are lurking.

I'm going to start my own thread soon. Glad to know some knowledgeable wagon enthusiasts!

Please also let me know if you have any cool JDM parts for sale bud :)

Nothing has happened for a couple months, just collecting parts and planning some things. Car hasn't moved since before Thanksgiving...

To do list:

-Install bracing (under chassis bracing, roof braces)

-Black out interior (only missing seat belt pieces)

-Battery relocation

-Sub/amp install

-5x114/R180 conversion (have most of the parts lined up and working with someone on rear hub solution)

hows the interior coming along? did you find a solution for the drivers side?

Slow. Car sat most of the winter until recently. I've collected a few things (black visors and door weatherstripping), still looking for S-Edition front seat belts.

Planning to make a new switch plate for the windows and door locks. Not 100% sure on where it will be located just yet. Leaning towards near the fuse cover on the left of the steering column.

Tinkered a little bit after work today:

Front 5x114 components:

(Control arms going to the machine shop tomorrow, then powder coat and install)

Interior updates:

Beatrush BRZ pedals - need to modify the bracket for the gas pedal to finish the install (ignore dirty carpet/mats, I have new black carpet and STI floor mats waiting for the interior to get ripped apart)

What kind of control arms are you using up front? Aluminum Legacy GT spec b?

When I did my swap, they shop put a wrx widetrack up front and it is too wide and my tires are tearing up my fenders. I need another solution to keep things tighter. Thanks

Did some work this week:

Reman steering rack (huge pita)

Removed front axles

JDM BH5 aluminum control arms

OEM WRX Tie Rod ends

05 STI knuckles (modded for more steering angle)

05 STI lower coilover mounts

2015 WRX Stoptech slotted rotors

BBS LM 17x8 + 27 (205/45/17)

garage alignment

Needs new endlinks (cusco on order) and traditional alignment (8/6).

Car drives great! Just need to find a couple more parts and the rear 5x114 conversion can commence.

If you decide to part out plz let me know, would be interested in bumper / lip / grill and a few random parts.

Sad to see it go, what you moving onto next?

Not going to be parting anything other than a couple things I haven't installed yet.

This is a cool wagon. How much?

Haven't decided yet, the parts are worth more than the car lol. Probably around $4500 OBRO.
