son_of_skeet6 Posted April 29, 2013 Share Posted April 29, 2013 Hi guys, question about my lgt. i picked up the whip 3 mnths ago with 142k og miles. stock turbo. when i first drove it, it felt fine, (spooling, pick-up) all seemed to be on key. lately, i hear the turbo sounding like its spooling around 3k rpm, but with no pick-up of speed. im assuming maybe turbo is going out but spoke with a buddy and he said if it sounds like its spooling but not pick-up in speed, that it may be a leak somewhere around the exhaust area. Im not all too sure. Can anyone recommend somewhere I can go around Orange County, CA and take it to get a diagnostic without charging an arm and a leg? Do more research though as I am not 100% certain it has the legacy intercooler connection (as opposed to sti style clamp found on pre 08 wrxs).
