LegacyMUN2k6
What will this recall entail, I replaced my front lines with SS Lines about a year and a half ago. I'll still take it in for a checkout, rears are still on the oem rubber lines.
wurkenman
Has anyone heard from Subaru regarding this recall for the brake system? My wife and I both received a recall notice in the mail yesterday. If you woke up today, you have another chance to do it right.
Gunz8718
I got the recall today. For those wondering exactly what it is here is what the recall states. "Subaru has determined that your vehicle may have been manufactured with brake lines that could, over time, corrode in the area of the four-way joint connector if exposed to salt. Depending on driving conditions, salt water could splash on the brake lines in the area of the four-way joint connector resulting in corrosion of the lines. Excessive corrosion could eventually cause perforation of a brake line resulting in a brake fluid leak." Subaru is offering to inspect them and replace them if necessary otherwise if still in decent condition apply an antitrust material.
