ResidentRedneck
i need a clutch. so im ordering it now. question is, are the flywheel-to-crank bolts, and the pressure plate bolts re-useable? i know some cars are torque to yield.

4doors4hp
ehhh i would say thats debatable that all are re-usable. the head bolts in the engine are torque-to-yield. Your turn them down to 50lbs, then back them up a few times, and they ultimately end up around 65-78lbs. They stretch. wouldnt re-use. some re-use them, but its safer to just spend the $40 on bolts.. BadTrainDriver
The bolts you're referring to are find to reuse.

Inaccurate. The head bolts are not TTY. Subaru doesn't replace them when doing HG's, nor do they say it is mandatory. This "issue" keeps coming up ever so often, but they are not TTY. see:http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/122596-2003-engine-and-what-i-have-learned/?hl=%2Btorque+%2Byield#entry1033921 O.
