PINESMOKER
Looking to replace the old muffler and pipe with something cheap or stock like. I don't want a fart can. I don't want to dump a lot of money. As I feel I'm not going to get much performance out of it and the car was free to begin with. I would prefer to keep it stock. Is there a easy swap of a sti exhaust or just the muffler. I assuming it not a direct bolt on, but I have the means to fab it to fit. Just looking for intel.... Zues Marine
i believe the impreza chassis (2.5rs, sti, wrx) cat-backs will require the flange to be rotated about a 1/4 turn in order to bolt up, then just weld on some new exhaust hangars to match your own mounting points and you're good to go

Zues Marine
are you talking the dual tip? or complete dueled off system? personally, i'd go with an 04 sti cat-back, easy to mod, only one tip off the muffler but you get a little bit of a boxer-rumble sound when you open it up.. (freeway on ramps) if you want no sound to minuscule, go with a 93-04 2.5rs or wrx respectively, i want to say the 2.5rs one is the dual tipped muffler but im not 100% on that edit- its the wrx exhaust thats dual: 02-04 WRX muffler: 04 STi single tip:
