Intercooler Leak

Recommended Posts

Easiest way to find a leak and verify it is to get a smoke test. Most shops have a good smoke machine to test this, it will also show other leaks in the intake and vac system as well.

FWIW, Import Image has a torque solutions tmic for $350- its hard to beat that price.

Yeah if the fitment and quality was good. Price isn't everything....

I had a feeling.. are there any reasonably priced tmic's available? I can't afford to drop 1k for the PW tmic. I'd rather just bp my stocker

I would bp your stocker til you can afford the PWTMIC. Just my thoughts.

I'm stage 2, but my boost is still low (16psi peak) so I don't blow the ends off the intercooler. Once I deal with the tmic I'll go to 18psi.

Yea here that. I'm still working with the soft stock tune and turbo. For now, I think I'm going to focus on getting any "Leaky/seapy" area's cleared up, and then maybe I'll start thinking about up/down pipe and a tune next year sometime if all is looking good
