UP/Down Installation help - Queens NY

Recommended Posts

Hello, as you can see I'm new here. I have a stock 05 LGT 5eat and I'm looking to do an UP/Down install. I don't have enough money to pay for $300 ish labor fee for the install and I do not have access to a garage. So just out of curiosity, wondering if anyone in the tri-state area would be willing to help out. Worth a shot :p

They're both easy once you've done it once

I wouldn't say "easy", having done them for 10+ years, we've run into issues on UPs and DPs especially on older cars due to rust.

It can be tricky with rusted bolts, especially those damn heat shields. However, you can do it. Grab a friend who also knows how to use a wrench, because it makes the job faster. Study the DIY threads.on here for the install, as well as checking the videos on you tube. Make sure to buy new gaskets for everything. Grimspeed makes a nice product. Take your time and you can do it.
