wurkenman
I was looking on Evilbay and found a couple of OEM homelink mirrors. My question is, will it be a plug and play item for my 05 LGT? My current mirror has auto dim and compass. If you woke up today, you have another chance to do it right.
CapnJack
Still plug and play. The homelink only adds a transmitter to the mirror to open and close your garage doors. It only requires power (received from the same source as the compass)
Drift Motion
you'll have to find out what model you have Gentex 453? Make sure the connectors are the same on the mirror I did a small write up on this(search for my threads in the DIY forum) but check this out: http://www.wembleysells.com/mirrortech/GentexHomelinkMirrorComparison.htm
mikeyvt
I know this is a few days old but I have some info to add on to what people have said. The auto dim mirror uses a different wire adapter to the car than the homelink. You can get the wire adapter from subaru for like 7 bucks. I did this swap last year in my lgt and I am doing this swap this year in my wifes forester. It's all plug and play from the car to the adapter. Just need the correct adapter to go to the mirrow.
