GTWhitey Posted November 3, 2012 Share Posted November 3, 2012 I've had my 05 lgt wagon for about 2 months now. Love it... 95% of the time haha... Not sure if its me getting used to driving an auto (first auto in a long while, and the last one was a mid 80's so pretty different feel I'd imagine) but I'm not loving the tranny, I've got some beefs, not sure if they're characteristic or problems. 1--when its cold shifts hard outta first... I've mentioned this before here and I feel it's character. 2--when I'm in the normal mode and going about 50/55 mph I feel the car hesitating a bit, almost slipping. As soon as I hammer it, it's fine and pulls strong. I don't know if its just the feel of the tranny, it's not drastic.... Anyways... I bought a Lucas tranny oil additive for slipping trannies etc. Wondering if anyone has used it and has an opinion on it, or not used it and has an opinion...basically just an opinion hahaha. He's the expert on 5eat's. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
