Battery issues

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the further suggestions.....here is the situation at this point.

The battery is a top quality after market product...$230

The battery has been tested numerous times..always good

The tests are all being done with a good digital multi meter which is brand new...the readings all mimic the ones I got with my older meter.

Unless I have bought multiple "Bad" batteries that cannot be tested to show the problem..........combined with multiple "Bad" meters....including the ones at Subaru...I have to feel the problem is in the car somewhere and has yet to be discovered.

I appreciate all the good suggestions but they are all the things I already knew to do and have done.

The search continues.

Problem solved.....no idea what it was but after I did a second neg side mA test and pulled fuses one at a time.........the issue just disappeared ....no more excessive draw down.

Maybe just moving the fuses was all it needed to chase the gremlin away :)

Good luck.....as you can see from my avatar...I kept at until the LGT turned into a new 2012 Legacy 2.5 Limited.........the staff at the dealership say the problem never reared it's ugly head again......Maybe it just needed a good old fashioned trade in???? ;)
