Eyesight

The revolutionary Subaru EyeSight1 driver assist system gives the driver a second set of eyes.

VS something more conventional like...

Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring suite

Why cameras ?

I heard that the new EyeSight system gets confused and could possibly go nutty when driving through a car wash. I'm not sure a stereo camera based system is the way to go besides for cost savings.

And how many accidents do you have in a car wash that could have been avoided by a crash avoidance system?

Most car wash accidents are due to stupidity, and are seldom lethal.

Put the phone down. Pay attention. Look through traffic. Don't follow too closely. Check your blind spots. Use your turn signals. > drivers aids

Have tires that are properly inflated and not bald.

^ Whenever it rained in SoCal/Vegas there were always tons of accidents because people let their tires go to crap (in addition to the issues you mentioned above).
