schumi2012
Hello, I am new to the forum and was hoping for a helping response. I own a 95 Legacy wagon 2.2 5 speed 217XXX miles. I am the second owner. The orignal owner replace all belts and water pump at 200K. The last three weeks my check engine light has come one (It has in the past but turned off after a few days). About three days later it developed a type of rattle grind noise at 2,500 rpm and beyond. The car idles fine fires fine drives fine. It sounds like the noise is coming from the left side of the engine from in the cabin, and if you are looking at it hood open the right side, if that makes any difference. If this has been posted before and answered I apologize for the repost. If anyone can respond or point me in the right direction please let me know thank you! Kennyfvholla
I concur, most likely culprit is the heat shields. Also, go get that CEL checked out at Advance Auto or Autozone!
