subarulegay Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 just got my rack replaced here due to a leaking stock one, replaced with the duralast from autozone, the turning isnt so smooth the guy who installed said i needed a flush but i cant seem to find the return hose from the rack so i can flush it by turning the pump. Do i rlly need to put oem ps fluid cuz now has prestone ps fluid and i feel the pump does not like it... plz help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Max Capacity Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Any PS fluid should work, I had to do slow figure 8's in a parking lot going lock to lock a few times before I got all the air out after my rack replaced. I have no idea we they put in mine, but for the year or so before he gave me a bottle of valvoline PS to keep topping it off. may take about 10 times to get it all out. I did it over a few days. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
