SomethingWittyAsAUsername
About a month ago, I was getting belt squeal from my PS pump when cold. I tightened the belt and it went away. Last night, it came back, along with a loud whining. I had a used pump sitting around, so I replaced it today. Last night, my car was slow to crank over. Now, the slow cranking and belt squeal are gone, but the whining is still there. Steering is effortless, though What could be causing this? The old fluid was Brown, so it gets flushed tomorrow. Also, my one rack and pinion boot has been broken for a while, so know this? Defective pump, old fluid, or bad R&P? Or is it something else?
