LLegacy03
.... from New Jersey and I brought my Subaru with me. Not sure if I am going to keep it or sell. Hey new yorkers and Subaru owners how has your car held up in the tristate area?
Magic Marker
If I lived in NYC, I'd ditch the car. Too much of a hassle to park and constantly move it. And it's going to get beat up with street parking. 2011 Volvo S60T6 & 2013 Volvo XC60T6 Polestar

Tons creaks have developed. The car has not held up at all compared to other cars I have owned. Its a 2008

But, I don't drive my car that often it's mainly a weekend warrior with 16k on MY09. Most of my driving is local about 80% of the time. When I do make long trips its up towards Vermont for snowboarding. The roads are trashed by winter with snowplows destroying the roads. I've hit a ton of 'phantom' craters and the worst was tweaked alignment which is easily fixed. .... from New Jersey and I brought my Subaru with me. Not sure if I am going to keep it or sell. Hey new yorkers and Subaru owners how has your car held up in the tristate area? It all depends if you will have a parking spot or garage at the end of the day. If you're doing street parking you car will inevitably receive some love from other parkers. If I do need to find street parking, I spend a few extra minutes finding spots that's on a deserted block or adjacent to a fire hydrant so I can atleast protect one end of the car. If I'm lucky, I could be isolated on both ends. But it's not easy in NYC.
gr4v3r
I park in a garage and havent had any issues driving around. Welcome!
Magic Marker
I never drive my cars into the city and hand the keys to a parking valet. I'd go nuts if the car ever got scratched or dinged in a garage. B/c I know that the garage attendant would never own up to it. 2011 Volvo S60T6 & 2013 Volvo XC60T6 Polestar

BillMiya
If you mean literally as Manhattan, I would get rid of it and just rent a ZipCar as needed. Unless of course you are filthy rich to have a monthly garage spot.
