sti_044
That's the guy I got mine from. They are extremely expensive and extremely rare, that's why I like them though
twisty
now that they are installed and working, did you figure out how to switch over to the HIDs?
sti_044
no that wasn't the problem, I have the HIDs in and wired correctly. I just can't get the highe beams to work. I need to get the damn relays and get it done lol
Grimmrican
Are ur hids bi-xenon or xenon. Because I believe bi-xenon bulbs are the dual beam like the stock setup. The hids in my car is xenon with no highs. I bought them from eBay for less than 40$. The bi-xenons were around 80-90$ *shrugs* my lows are just as bright as my stock highs. So I'm cool with it. I'm sure other drivers aren't. But the world keeps spinning.
twisty
my HIDs are hi/lo but the high beam really just pulls the bulb back about 1/2" to change the reflection. kind of useless, but like you said... the lows are so bright it doesnt really matter. sti_044
The morettes are completely different housings for the hi and lo beam
twisty
The morettes are completely different housings for the hi and lo beam yes, i know. i have similar housings for my civic. i am putting a low only kit and keeping the existing high beams for that reason. ill be adding a relay to run the highs along with the lows so i dont have to shut the HID bulbs off. when i work out the schematic, ill post it here to see if you can use it. sti_044
ok that'd be great. I would like for the high's and HIDs to be on at the same time but I'm not sure how to go about doing that without popping the fuse
Grimmrican
So is this Hans guy the only person in touch with the morettes? I'm very interested in these headlights
twisty
im pretty sure ill never have morettes, since they basically cost about 2/3 what my car cost. unless someone wants to send a free set my way! hehe
sti_044
haha ya they aren't cheap, but I think they were worth it. Totally changed the look of the car, for the better IMO. Very happy with the lights/ eyebrows

sti_044
thank you! I have been considering painting the body of the lights the same as my car body color but I actually like the flat black, makes them stick out a little more
