FPerron
All of a sudden, I can no longer see the general interest forums - like Motorsports, etc. Is it me or the web site?
dudeondacouch
From what I understand, some permissions changes were made and some users got messed up. PM the admin team and they will fix it for you. YMMV
Tide
^^ Not correct in the least. General forums are only visible to logged in members. If you are logged in and can't see General chat, then yes that is a bug.

Tide
You're mixing up issues. A permissions change several weeks ago resulted in 1 user, and 1 user only having unintended permission issues. A permissions change yesterday resulted in one confused user and 0 bugs. The permissions change is verified to be working as intended.

Tide
Ok - thanks for the note. We decided to try this out for a few days. Sorry for the confusion, but it is something we intended. If people find it un-useful, let us know.

BDII
Ok - thanks for the note. We decided to try this out for a few days. Sorry for the confusion, but it is something we intended. If people find it un-useful, let us know. there's a plug-in that allows users a predetermined number of page views before requiring a log in. One thing to consider is that non-logged in visitors/members/donators see ads and therefor increase ad revenue. By adjusting the ads to be more prevalent for non-logged in users you can see an increase in ad revenue through page views and click throughs. Need forum help?
