Mblock66
I came across this one last night while floating around the internet. It looks like it has a paper filter and is pretty cheap compared to some of the others I have seen. I know that we really don't need intakes but I thought I would share. http://www.fastwrx.com/gpinb.html
edmundu
I had heard that they were going to make one, I guess it's now available.
Mblock66
I am temped to buy it for $199 and see if I feel anything. The only thing that I don't want is to lose low end TQ though. I mean for $200 it migh sound cool and maybe add a few HP TQ through the upper ranges. I dunno though. With no proven evidence I am skeptical. Kaptan
Perrin Short Ram seems to increase low end slightly.
malfeas99
I got 15-20 hp and tq through most of the powerband with a perrin short ram, tuned for with ecutek.I don't know what just an intake would get you, make sure you don't put one on if you're tuning with Cobb's AP. Mblock66
Well I am tuning with Cobb so I guess that's my answer. If I were going to do a custom tune I guess they are worth it otherwise it is a waste of $. Wow 15-20 HP? That is crazy
Kaptan
You can also get a street tuner or have a pro tune with COBB so that you can use the intake. I'm sure it would yield about the same hp/tq increase as ecutek.
bmorrisj
looks like that intake will just get hot...
Guest *Jedimaster*
I'd rather make a Home Depot intake for about 10 bucks than have that thing. At least I'd be make it look pretty!
Hooked4Life
That intake definately has the bling factor. I have to agree that the intake would get hot. I am thinking a coated intake would be better for a ram style intake.
firedawgs
GPmoto makes some good quality stuff. I am personally going to hold off on the intake until I absolutely need it for the HP. Updated my vBGarage:
