NickTej22
I found these wires cut, on the drivers side under the dash. Not sure what the connect to. Any ideas?http://img.tapatalk.com/ae8dd071-fb78-8020.jpg Sent from my LG-MS695 using Tapatalk
stevenva
Was there an aftermarket alarm at any point? Do they go towards the drivers door? Possibly for an add on actuator. RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
NickTej22
Not sure if the previous owner had an alarm. They just dangle down behind the dash. They look like factory wires. Sent from my LG-MS695 using Tapatalk

TexasLegacy2.5GT
I bet they used to go to some after market audio system. I've got some wires like that in my car that I found last month and turns out that they were for a amp.
stevenva
Is there an LED mounted on your dash that is inop? Odd color choice for speaker wires. Follow them please. RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
NickTej22
That's what I'm saying it's odd colored wires for anything aftermarket Sent from my LG-MS695 using Tapatalk
SpecBamf41
Odd Color for what is in these cars period. Most of the oem wires are not plain colored. They have dots and stripes Sent from my Galaxy Tab using TapaTalk 2 BNR18g on 93oct

Stasis
No, if it was sunroof it would be oem and have wiring to match
johnegg
it could be old wiring for an in car phone set up or charger. my 97 GT had a bunch of wires under the dash for that stuff. most started at the fuse panle with small spades connectors on the end that fit into one side of a fuse holder with the fuse. a neat trick for adding a power wire for what ever. TexasLegacy2.5GT
^^^I agree with JE The red always means "power" something. If I were you I'd find some time to trace them back. More then likely they are not needed if everything is working correctly.
SpecBamf41
There are a lot of wires that are not Neeeeded. Sent from my Galaxy Tab using TapaTalk 2 BNR18g on 93oct
PDXLegoWagon
Those are definitely aftermarket wires. Probably from a security system or hands free kit that has been removed or is no longer functional. If everything is working, insulate the ends and zip tie them out of the way. Better yet, do as everyone here has suggested and trace them back to their origination and remove them.
