98 Legacy GT 2.5 - (Shifter Bushings)

Removing the crossmember and lowering the transmission a few inches is the easiest way, not sure if how difficult or possible it is to do without lowering it.

 

I've never lowered the transmission to do it.

 

If you're talking about the front and rear shifter bushings, then those are a 5 minute job. If you're talking about the linkage joint, then thats about a 30 minute job.

 

Dropping the transmission is not required for either of them.

This is great, I love doing my own work this way I know it gets done right.

I think I should post all the details and photos so in case someone else has the same problem it will be in detail.
