Wheelbuilder_25
I've got a Whiteline rear swaybar on my 97 legacy outback and love the handling since adding it 80some thousand miles ago. That said, the nice blue finish on it peeled/flaked off pretty darn quickly. I don't know if it was the salt/snow here in upstate NY that caused it. I've since painted it myself, but it leaves me to worry about it failing from rust. (The OEM one had no rust at 60000) I've recently got a 09 legacy i SE that I'd like to add a bigger rear swaybar to. I see Whiteline has changed the color of their bars, is the finish more durable now ? Should I look at some other vendor ? Whiteline was pretty reasonable way back when. gldnshwrs
if you're worried about the paint chipping off a bar located underneath the car then maybe you should move out of a salt state. worry more about how the bar functions then looks.
Wheelbuilder_25
I was thinking that if a different brand's finish held up better, it might be worth the price difference...

jamal
or just sand and re-paint. Whiteline switched to a silver color and different finish a couple years ago and those ones hold up better. Mine still look new.
KoukiS14
My silver ones show some surface rust on my '05. On there for 5 or 6 years in California, Colorado and New Mexico.
SGT Daddy
Mine still looks silver on my '05 with a MN winter.
coldsubycz
I also live in MN and mine are the silver and they flaked off and rusted the first winter. Just surface rust and no performance issues.
