InnocentGuns
New to the subaru world and i picked up a wrecked 05 Legacy GT. needs rad support, driver headlight, hood, and misc underhood parts. oh and they ran it with a snapped timing belt so my guess valves and possibly pistons are shot. My plan is pull the motor and do a rebuild. Ive browsed this forum and nasoic and have some thoughts, but just looking for fresh ideas to keep things cheap but reliable. this will be my daily driver, replacing my 1st gen Tiburon. please feel free to tell me how it is, no bs.. glad to be on and hope i can contribute.. wurkenman
Welcome I am new around here too. I also took on a project car. I found an 05 LGT with a known bad engine and am in the process of building it. Good luck with the new car. Where are you located? Terry If you woke up today, you have another chance to do it right. But with the mileage over 100k and them starting it with a snapped belt im gonna rip it apart and go from there. Hopefully after the rebuild i can get 100k plus out of it. Strizzy
Just throwing it out there. I actually find it easier to search by using Google: xxxxxxxx site:legacygt.com My bad luck build
wurkenman
Still can't figure out why I can't reply to your PM. My messages just disappear into space. You would need a separate trans cooler. Probably easier and cheaper to get a right one. Terry If you woke up today, you have another chance to do it right.
