EJ25D 12 Point socket size?

Recommended Posts

I'm replacing my head gaskets and shortly after taking the timing components off, I noticed a 12/14 Point ~15mm nut/bolt that I don't have the right socket for. I don't want to go buy the wrong socket and return it for a different size 4 or 5 times, so I need to know what size this bolt is. I don't know exactly what it does and I don't know exactly where it is, but it's on the timing belt side of the engine behind the rear timing belt covers. Does anyone know what size it is? Thanks in advance!

I think you're talking about the bolts to split the block in half. You don't need to take that out. Only the head bolts...they are the same 12pt style...but are inside the heads.
