Rester5350
So I installed my AP at stage 2 and now my rear hatch will not lock. The alarm goes off but the lock stopped working. I have an 06 OBXT and am a little concerned because in tend to leave a lot of my mt biking gear in the back. My searching has yielded no info so i hope this helps. Has any one else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

Rester5350
I will give it a shot in a little bit and see what happens. Are you thinking the lock is bad?
Rester5350
It didnt seem to respond, do you think the AP could have caused the failure?
TheOneDoubleN
It didnt seem to respond, do you think the AP could have caused the failure? The two are completely unrelated, sounds more like a freak coincidence.

Max Capacity
The rear lock mechanism has been talked about before. I had to replace mine last may/june. You can get just the plastic mechanism, for like $60.00 at the dealer. It's easy to replace. You also may want to make sure the wires are good up where the hatch has the rubber cover between the hatch abd body up by the right hinge. I had 4/5 broken wires in there. My buddy's body shop fixed all of them for $120.00. There are threads on here about the issues. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
