Joaks
I'm trying to install some fog lights into an L bumper. I have found the hole for the bolts but the seem to not open on the other side for me to add a nut. Any suggestions?
TbirdMan
Iirc there are inserts screwed into the bumper beam for bolts to thread into. If they are not there you may need to add them.

Joaks
Are the inserts the same on other subies? I can check the junkyard if so.

I Donated broknindarkagain Posted June 17, 2012 I Donated Share Posted June 17, 2012 The inserts on mine rusted and broke out. I just got a bolt that was slightly bigger and forced it into the plastic. It worked great. It cut threads into the plastic on its way in and everything. No need for new inserts. If you want to do it "properly", you could always run a tap through the hole and thread in a timesert or heli-coil. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Regardie
I got my inserts from the parts guy at the stealership, don't have the part number on hand, but they were not to spending.
