Faulty o2 Senser Help.

Recommended Posts

Hello, long time reader first time poster here

About 2 weeks ago I noticed my engine light was coming on and off intermittently

I took it to get a diagnostic test done; the gentleman said I have a faulty o2 sensor.

I will be going back to hopefully find out if it is the front of rear sensor.

After looking around trying to find one online, getting confused and worried I would order one from overseas and find it to be wrong I thought I would ask you guys for help.

I have a Subaru legacy 2006 2Lt GT

Vin – BL5 049978

I would like to know the Subaru part number for a front and rear o2 sensor and possibly some websites that could supply me with it and ship to me in New Zealand.

I was quoted $500 NZ ($385 US) just for the part and thought this was well overpriced?.

Oh and here are a few photos of my car, I love it.

Funny, you posted this on the 9th and this is the first time I noticed it, it's June 12th today.

Welcome the forum, someone else just asked the same question from Europe.

Have you contacted some of the vendors from the lionk at the top of the forums or may be m sprank or Mike at http://www.AZPinstalls.com can help.

You don't need a oem sensor. I got mine from the local auto parts stores. $80.00 each, if you have the socket and hose clamp to keep the socket tight its a easy job to replace them.

Oh yea, nice looking car !

This engine is very fussy about the O2 sensor, when I got mine :) Also a WR Limited, but as a Wagon, same issue, the guy before me had put in a none standard part.

Got a replacement from JapanParts, sorted the issue straight away:

Remember it's an EJ20 engine
